COLLEGE STATION, Tex. – Dining in the Dark is a unique, multi-course experience taking place in complete darkness. The dinner consists of a secret menu kept quiet until the end of the event with a big reveal.
The event is to raise awareness in our community about the abilities of people with blindness or visual impairments.
Guests are invited to wear eye masks and utilize their other available senses throughout the dinner while getting to know their server, an individual with a visual impairment or blindness.
Before and during the dinner there will be live music, a silent auction, a raffle, and a sensory room experience.
The event will be held at the Hilton Hotel in College Station on February 18 at 5 p.m.
The deadline to purchase tickets is February 18. You can buy individual tickets for $75, couples for $150 or you can buy a table of eight for $500 at DiningInTheDarkBCS.org. If you can’t attend but still would like to participate you can also make a donation.
All proceeds go to programs at Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living and future awareness events. Programs at BVCIL benefit people with any disability at any age through services offered by the organization.
